The Toyota 1GR-FE engine is a 4.0L naturally aspirated V6 gasoline engine from Toyota's GR engine family. With 3,956 cc displacement, DOHC 24-valve construction and strong low-speed torque, the 1GR-FE was widely used in Toyota SUVs, pickups and off-road vehicles.

Depending on the production year and market, the 1GR-FE can use different VVT-i configurations, intake systems, engine management systems and emissions equipment. Power output is approximately 228–285 hp, with torque generally around 360–392 Nm.

The 1GR-FE features a 60-degree V6 layout, aluminum cylinder heads, DOHC 24-valve valve train, electronic fuel injection and a timing chain. Later versions received updated valve timing and engine management technology to improve power, efficiency and emissions performance.

The engine has a 3,956 cc displacement with a 94.0 mm bore and 95.0 mm stroke. Depending on the version, the 1GR-FE produces approximately 228–285 hp and 360–392 Nm of torque. Exact specifications vary by vehicle, market and production year.

The 1GR-FE was used in models including the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Hilux, Tacoma, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Tundra, Fortuner and selected Land Cruiser 70 Series applications. Because engine mounting, intake and exhaust components, wiring and ECU calibration can differ, compatibility should be confirmed using the original engine code and VIN.

Our used Toyota 1GR engines are inspected by professional mechanics before shipment. We can check engine condition and perform compression or pressure testing where applicable. Engine photos and test videos can also be provided before shipment for customer confirmation.

For replacement orders, we recommend confirming the complete engine code, vehicle model, production year and VIN before purchase. This helps ensure that the supplied 1GR-FE engine matches the original application.
